Thankful week one November 2nd-9th

Day 2

I am thankful for my sweet hardworking husband who has been pulling extra time so that we can survive. He is such a hard worker and a wonderful man. I will never fully understand just how luck I am to be his eternal companion because he shows me more and more everyday. I love him endlessly and I can't imagine a better life and eternity than the one I have with him :)
Day 3
I am thankful for my calling. I co-teach the (8 boys)sunbeams with another young mom in our ward, and even though I don't always feel like I have enough patience for them, they make me laugh almost every week. I love them all and will miss them the first of the year when they move up to the CTR 4.
Day 4
I am thankful for spiritual promptings, the job that I work is dependent upon the amount of clients we have and my main client moved out of state and I lost at least 20 hours of work. Thankfully, Sunday night I felt like I should put in my application elsewhere. Monday I got the call about my client and I got a call for an interview on Tuesday. I am grateful for the Lord always watching over us and that I was able to listen to the promptings. We are truly blessed in all things.

Day 5
I am grateful for our kitties, they always make us laugh and smile and come snuggle with us when we need it most. They are a true blessing in our lives and were our first kids. They will always be members of our little family and we are happy that they came into our lives.
Day 6
I am grateful for the good hearted people in this world. There is an organization here in Northern Colorado called "Sweet dreams in a bag" started by this lady who had a broken childhood and wanted other kids to find comfort in their beds like she did. They came to our apartment complex because it is low income housing and we were able to volunteer by helping the kids pick out their own bed set. It was so sweet to see how grateful these kids were and happy to feel loved.

Day 7
I am grateful for our home. We were very lucky to get into this apartment, it is probably the cheapest and nicest place in Fort Collins, and we certainly couldn't afford anything else. It was divine intervention that helped us get in here and I am so grateful that we have a roof over our heads.

Day 8
I am grateful for our jobs, even though we are struggling right now with work and school and making ends meet. We have had everything we need and even more. We are truly blessed!

Day 9
I am grateful for my education, I have been going to school since 2010 and even though its been hard trying to pay for it, everything has worked out and I am truly blessed that I have been able to get as far as I have in my degree. Hopefully after the baby is born I can continue to pursue my educational goals.

Grateful Thirty-Day1

Well I am joining the millions out there who are blogging, facebooking,  tweeting, and otherwise sharing how grateful they are during the month of November.

DAY ONE

Today I am grateful for my sweet baby that I get to carry for the next 28 weeks, even though its been a rough twelve so far but its going to be worth it when I get to hold him/her in my arms and watch them grow. I am also grateful that my Heavenly Father has entrusted me with such a precious bundle of joy and that my loving husband is excited to be a daddy. I know that he will be a great one! I love my little family

This is a popular thing for people who suck at updating their blog... CATCH UP TIME!

So its time to play catch up, we are now in Colorado, we are loving it and we both have jobs! Miraculously! We have a wonderful one year anniversary June 2, 2013, ate our cake topper, went to Red Robin(our favorite) and split a burger and consumed an appropriate amount of bottomless french fries, amazing! Went on a walk in our favorite part of town. But mostly just enjoyed each others company.
Next thing we know we are saying goodbye to Tucson forever! We had so many adventures, from hiking Mount Lemon, to finding strange animals in the middle of the night, to making random trips to ABQ and PHX and Vegas to visit our families and spend good times with friends. As you can see Craig was having fun with this little guy and declared that we should take him to Colorado with us since he was so friendly to him.... I was not having that by the way...
We left June 17th or so because I had a job interview and we were trying to get into our apartment... trying being the optimum word... we were missing some paper work that we had to get in to them before they would give us the keys.... We thought that it all went through... haha joke was on us. We got there, couldn't move in... and lived in our car for like three days. All while I was starting my job... haha ya. Plus we had our gold fish in little baggies because we thought they would get to go into the tank when we got there.... Nope they ended up spending the nights hanging in the car window. One night, we were outside the church building, pretty much asleep and this cop came knocking on our window... he saw our gold fish, barely alive hanging in bags and  must have felt sorry for us or something and let us stay the night since we were supposed to move in the next day... Ya people are nice in Colorado :) Blessings and a cop with  a funny story to tell his buds.
Our apartment home with Cutie modeling
So we were able to move in and Craig's parents (who were kind enough to help us move from Tucson, and than keep our stuff at their house until we could move in) drove our stuff up the next day from Rio Rancho, NM. We got all settled and were able to spend some extra time with them before they left. I really am lucky to have two sets of amazing parents.
Becky and Charlie Miller, and us love these amazing people!
Here are some pics of the adventures we have had so far :) Enjoy!

Craig's a squirrel whisperer, cheese itz!

Avery Park

Cutie on our walk

MY Monkey Man

Sugar and her amazing tree climbing skills, it helped that there were branches like every 6 inches

Horsetooth Lake, a five minute drive... Awesome views

We found Bambi!

A huge sun flower that I found on one of my morning jogs, Craig thought that it was fake!

This is a part of Horse Tooth Falls, it wasn't flowing but it looks like a heart... nerdy wife moment.

And ya... that is a golden eagle... we got closer pictures but you have to
zoom in a bit and I couldn't quite figure out how to do it on the blog.

This is Devils Back Bone open space,
the better part of the park is still closed because of the flooding

FALL!

Well that is all folks, thanks for reading! :)

We are moving!! Only twelve short days!

SO we are so not excited at all to leave miserably hot and very brown Tucson, to move to lush green good tempered( at least in the summer) Colorado! (Can you tell?) We had the opportunity to spend a few days there in Fort Collins, getting to know the area and job hunting and putting the deposit down on our new  apartment. I must say that I fell in love with the area! We found trails, bridges, lakes and streams everywhere! And the green! Never have I seen so much green :) We have already claimed a park that we plan to have picnics at every week, play ultimate frisbee and places to go walk at night. I felt so happy and safe there, and we can't wait to move in :)

This is Avery Park (our favorite park so far)

Craig decided to get all cute on me and wanted to take pictures :) we skillfully used pine cones and sticks to balence our camera while we took them :)

This river/stream/creek, runs all through fort collins :) the bridges are everywhere

We hated to leave but we left knowing we would come back in only a short while. If I could imagine how my eternity would be like, it would look a lot like this place.
Next order of business, we were able to spend time with both of our parents in the past couple of weeks, mothers day with my family in AZ and the day before our trip and a few days after in NM with Craig's parents. We had a lot of fun and are very grateful to be related to these wonderful people :)

Well enough of that, we will keep you posted on the move! Thanks all! Love you!

Benefits of being married.. from a married woman :)

I found this on pinterest but I saw that it was missing a few so I edited it to fit our life. Enjoy!

1. You’ll have a live-in spider killer.
2. Someone will always be around to reach the top shelves in the kitchen.
3. You’ll live longer; studies have shown married couples live longer.
4. You’ll always get a Valentine’s Day present… and an anniversary present!
5 Your husband is like a built-in toe warmer waiting on the other side of the bed.
6. You will always have someone to share your deepest secrets with.
7. You’ll have a dishes-doing partner… and a dance partner.
8. There’s always someone to wake up if you have a creepy dream.
9. You’ll have someone to support you in all things.
10. Having someone there to bring you soup when you’re sick.
11. Starting a family with the man you adore.
12. Having a husband is like having a handyman on-call 24-hours a day.
13. Gaining a whole extra family that you’ll love and who will love you.
14. Knowing that someone always has your back.
15. You’ll have a Sunday morning newspaper-reading partner.
16. He’ll be your partner in crime.
17. It’s nice having someone who knows you as well as you know yourself.
18. Two heads are better than one, especially when you’re coming up with excuses for staying home from work, getting out of a prior obligation, etc.
19. You always have a date for Saturday night.
20. Someone is always there to share laughs with.
21. Looking forward to your husband walking in at the end of the day.
22. You’ll have someone to try new recipes on… and someone to tell you how your butt looks in those jeans!
These are the ones I added:
23. Someone who knows what your thinking without you having to say it.
24. Someone to make you laugh your problems away.
25. Someone who does the dishes while your gone, just to see you smile.
26. Someone who makes you blush, all the time.
27. He still gives you butterflies when he asks to take you out.
28. He stays awake to make sure your safe.
29. Calls you when he is with his friends to tell you he misses and loves you.
30. Gets excited with you over stupid girl things, because he knows it makes you happy.
31. Encourages you to follow your dreams and listen  to the promptings you receive.
32. Someone to kneel down with every morning and night.
33. Someone to make you want to be better each day.
34. The forever love of your life and ultimate best friend.
35. Someone who can annoy you like crazy and you still love them more than words can describe.
36. You want to live to make them happy.
I will continue to add to this list. But those are a few reasons I love my sweet husband

Catch-up

So Craig and I have some big news!... No we are not pregnant :) gotcha though huh?? But both of us have sisters pregnant with their first babies due within a month of each other and we are so excited for the both of them! We do have big news though, even though everyone following our blog already knows but moving to Colorado is big and excited news for us:) we have a less than two months until we are officially out of Tucson forever! Not that we won't miss living close to my family and being able to drive a few hours to see them. But we are ready for new and excited adventures and looking forward to starting them soon!
Since it has been really been  a while since I updated, Craig and I have callings in our ward. He is the Secretary in the Elder's Quarm Presidency and I started out teaching the CTR 8 class and then was released ( to my relief:).. I was starting to get stressed out like crazy... haha  by the way, praying to be released from a stressful calling does not guarantee you no more callings or a less stressful one... just in case you were wondering! I than promptly was called into the Primary Presidency. No words! But I have grown to love my calling and the wonderful women that I serve with. I have grown, gotten braver, stronger, a little more organized and I will miss being in Primary.
Good-bye Tucson!
Craig and I both work for a organization called United Cerebral Palsy Association of Southern Arizona, its a respite, home care and habilitation provider type thing. We enjoy it a lot, and we have made some awesome friends while doing this work.
Hello Beautiful Colorado!
We just finished another semester of college and hopefully we can start CSU in the next year or so, we have to prove that we are planning on staying in Colorado in order to not have to pay out of state tuition ( which is like double in state). Craig is going for his bachelor's in Sports Medicine, with a Masters and eventually a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I am going for my bachelor's in Nutrition and or Exercise Science, and my Master's and possibly my doctorate in Occupational Therapy. We one day hope to open a practice together, mostly for the excuse that we do not like being away from one another for more than five minutes at a time.We are excited to one day reach that goal! Idea names for our practice are always welcome and taken into consent. We are still not sure but we have some time. Well, I think that about covers it, hope all is going well with the world.

Love,
 Craig and Meg

December Catch Up

Once Upon a December..

To start off, we gave our first try as a couple at Gingerbread houses, Roussel Style.. My mom sent us a Gingerbread making kit (Graham Crackers, icing and assorted candies) for our first Christmas because she knew that it was one of my favorite family traditions that I would want to do with our kiddos one day. He said he had fun but he spent more time grumbling that mine was better and more creative than his then he actually spent on his own. I actually like his better though:)

My House
(He wrote I love you 2 on mine with a picture of an eye instead of  I....ya my husband is adorable)
Craig's House

Well we spent Christmas with Craig's family in Albuquerque, NM. We had a blast playing games, watching movies and just spending a relaxing time together. We also had the opportunity to do my Grandparents temple work while we were there. His parents came and helped with everything and it was a very special and sweet experience for me. Especially because I was not very close to my grandmother while she was alive but I feel like I was able to bond with her while doing her work.  I absolutely love the temple and all the joy and peace that it brings.

January....
We started school back up this month, and are already wanting it to be over haha. Well be it as it may we have chosen career paths with longer education requirements... aka we are stuck. But we just need to be patient and have the faith that all will be well and that we can and will finish in the foreseeable future.

Lastly, moving.. We are moving in July and we can't wait! It doesn't seem to be coming but at the same time January is almost over and we are counting down! Still looking for places to live and jobs and such; but we feel that this is the right place for  us to be and we are so looking forward to what adventures will bring us!
